Subscription Management

Upgrade: Free → Premium anytime. If your 30-day trial hasn't started yet you'll get it; if it has already expired, billing begins straight away.
Downgrade: Premium → Free (access continues until end of billing period)
Cancel: Keep access until current period ends, then auto-downgrade to Free
Reactivate: Resume Premium subscription anytime after cancellation
Change Payment Method: Update credit card in your account settings

❓ Common Questions

What happens when my trial ends?

After your 30-day trial ends, you'll be downgraded to the Free plan unless you subscribe to Premium. All your data is saved - you just won't have access to Premium features until you upgrade.

Can I cancel my subscription anytime?

Yes! Cancel your subscription anytime. You'll keep Premium access until the end of your current billing period, then automatically downgrade to Free.

Will my price increase after the Early Adopter period?

If you're one of the first 300 users, your Early Adopter pricing is locked in as long as you maintain your subscription. New users after the first 300 will pay regular pricing.

What's the difference between monthly and annual billing?

Annual billing saves you money (equivalent to 2 months free) and you only get charged once per year. Monthly billing charges you monthly but gives you more flexibility to cancel.

Do I need a credit card to start my trial?

No! Start your 30-day trial without entering any payment information. You'll only need to add a payment method when you're ready to subscribe to Premium.

Can I switch from monthly to annual billing?

Yes, you can change your billing cycle in your subscription settings, which opens the secure Stripe billing portal.

What happens to my data if I downgrade to Free?

Your data is never deleted. All your rounds, buddies, courses, and league history are saved. You just won't have access to certain Premium features like creating rounds, messaging, or viewing detailed statistics.

Is there a refund policy?

Membership fees are nonrefundable — see the Terms of Service. You can cancel any time and keep Premium until the end of the period you've already paid for, so you're never billed again for time you don't want. If something went wrong with a charge, email support@buddiesonthegreen.com and we'll look into it.
